ABOUT BRIAN
|
Brian M. Jacobson learned to fly in San Antonio, Texas in 1970. He started his aviation career selling new and used airplanes for Air Worcester, Inc., of Worcester, Massachusetts in late 1971. He worked for Skylanes, Inc., of Lincoln, Rhode Island, for several years as the Sales Manager. He has accumulated nearly 14,000 hours in the air flying all kinds of general aviation airplanes from a J-3 Cub to jets. He writes about some of his flying experiences in his book Flying On The Gages, A Book About Instrument Flying. In September 2003 Brian became the Operations Director for the National Aircraft Appraisers Association. Since 1989 he has been a full-time aircraft appraiser. His book, Purchasing & Evaluating Airplanes is the only book on the market that identifies the entire purchase process for those who are in the aircraft market. His book is mandatory reading for first-time aircraft buyers, especially those who believe that buying a used airplane is similar to buying a used automobile. Brian owns a 1975 Piper Arrow. He writes for IFR Refresher Magazine, Plane & Pilot Magazine, and does audio tapes for Pilots Audio Update. You can reach him by email at bjacobson@odysseypub.com.
